To help companies in the turbulent business climate of the COVID-19 pandemic, the BCECC again cooperated with CATIS to organize the “2020 B2B Online Match-making Metting for medical materials” on 25 May 2020.

The BCECC has organized a webinar on Post COVID-19 China and how 2 main Belgian logistics companies have coped with Corona and navigating towards a new normal on 14 May 2020.

The BCECC organized a webinar on Post COVID-19 China on 5 May 2020. During this webinar, the China-based trade commissioners of Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), Wallonia Export-Investment Agency (AWEX) and hub.brussels discussed the economic situation in China, the impact of COVID-19 and how each organization is helping their companies during this difficult period.

When doing business with China, attending trade fairs is inevitable. Trade fairs are abundant. In order not to get lost in all of the information, the BCECC organized a workshop on how Belgian SME’s can be fully prepared on 12 March 2020, together with the EU SME Center.

In light of the Chinese New Year of the Rat, the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) organized its annual cocktail reception on 5 February 2020 at Palais des Beaux-Arts – Paleis voor Schone Kunsten in Brussels.

The BCECC organized the EU Cross-Border E-Commerce Forum on 11 and 12 December 2019 at Liège Airport. The forum was to be linked with the momentum the Belt and Road Initative is having in Europe – as well as across the whole world – while also focusing on a major trends in international business: cross-border e-commerce.

The Belgium – China (Shenzhen Yantian) Trade & Technology Exchange Conference was organized to give participants the occasion to explore business and investment opportunities in the fields of logistics, jewelry, tourism, healthcare, artificial intelligence, etc. and to establish communication with local enterprises.

The BCECC organized a company visit to Neuhaus on 5 December 2019 to learn more about the company, how the chocolate and pralines are produced, and its plans to further develop the Chinese market.

The BCECC organized its Belgium – China (Shenzhen) Economic & Cooperation Conference on November 26, 2019 to introduce guests to the business, economic, trade and investment environment of Shenzhen.

BCECC organized this conference to discuss the connectivity between the East and the West, and questions such as “How have the Belgian companies taken advantage of these connections? What is the situation today?” and “What are the opportunities arising from the further development of the Belt & Road Initiative and the booming e-commerce industry?

On the occasion of the Belgian Economic Mission to China, the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) and BNP Paribas Fortis organized their breakfast debate themed ‘Business environment outlook, challenges & opportunities’ on 18 November 2019.

The BCECC organized its yearly China Customs Event to offer participants more information on new customs regulations, and the possibility to discuss specific issues with the customs experts in an individual meeting.

After a visit of a business delegation from Chengdu, the BCECC organized their B2B Matchmaking Event on 23 October 2019. A total of 14 companies and business leaders representing sectors like technology, financial services, culture & education, business services, e-commerce, agriculture and engineering travelled to Belgium to explore opportunities and seek cooperation in their respective fields.

The BCECC organized a networking night on 17 October 2019. Young professionals from international and local Chambers of Commerce from across Belgium could link up with each other at the sixth edition of its famous cross-chamber speed-networking event.

The BCECC and AWEX organized the China (Guangdong Province) Belgium Economic and Trade Cooperation Seminar on 11 October 2019. The event aimed to present 13 innovative Chinese company leaders in IT manufacturing, gaming, software & engineering and IT services outsourcing.

In light of the Princely Economic Mission to China in Novmber, the BCECC organized a Preparatory Seminar on 1 October 2019 in Brussels. The seminar aimed to prepare everyone who will attend the mission to get the most out of the week-long stay in China.

The BCECC and the Confucius Institute at VUB organized the fall class of the Chinese Language Course, based on official HSK levels. The courses are also available as a mobile app on your phone.

The BCECC organized a Summer Barbecue and drinks on 29 August 2019 in the beautiful Kasteel Sint-Michiels in presence of H.E. Mr. Cao Zhongming, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Belgium.

In order to expand the awareness of Shaoguan city, to seek for cultural cooperation and to boost its cultural influence, Shaoguan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government intends to hold the “Shaoguan City Promotion Conference and Cultural Tourism Photo Exhibition” on June 28, 2019 in Brussels.

The BCECC, Bencham, MS Advisory, EU SME Centre, and EuroChambres organized their 2019 Benelux Road Show Breakfast Seminar on 26 June 2019 to host a discussion on the Chinese economy and its opportunities for Belgian companies.

On the occassion of the Flanders Investment & Trade Contact Days, the BCECC organized a Meet & Greet with the Trade Commissioners of Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) on 17 June 2019.

The BCECC organized a seminar called “Get ready for the Chinese market” on June 7 together with hub.brussels to prepare Belgian companies who are interested in the Chinese market for China.
