Summary of the Seminar “Doing business with China” at the EIAS

What a delight to hold in-person seminars again! On 3 May 2022, the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce organized a Briefing Seminar on “Doing business with China & How to ensure strong quality control procedures” in cooperation with the European Institute for Asian Studies (EIAS). We were pleased to see participants from multiple backgrounds attending the event: business people, diplomats, researchers, students, consultants, and more.

During this lively seminar moderated by the CEO of EIAS (Mr. Axel Goethals), participants were able to express their points of view and ask questions to our prominent speakers from Port of Antwerp-Bruges (Mr. Vincent De Saedeleer) and Marshalls plc (Mr. Karel Perriens). They discussed matters surrounding quality assurance, arising when ordering or manufacturing goods in China, or during their shipment to the EU. The event was then followed by a networking reception, the occasion to talk and meet people over a drink.
