Information session on China International Import Expo (CIIE) on Mar. 16

In May 2017, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation that China will hold China International Import Expo (CIIE) starting from 2018. The first CIIE will be held in the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2018 and is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the P.R. of China and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government.

CIIE is the first state-level expo globally which focuses on imports and serves as a powerful expression of its Belt and Road Initiative. The following sectors will be represented in CIIE:
• High-end intelligent equipment;
• Consumer electronics & appliances;
• Apparel, accessories & consumer goods;
• Automobile; food & agricultural products;
• Medical equipment & medical care products,
• Trade in services (tourism, education, emerging technologies, culture, creative design, and service outsourcing).

In order to better understand the opportunities for Belgian companies to participate in CIIE, we are pleased to invite you to an information session organized by the Chinese embassy in Belgium and supported by the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce(BCECC) on March 16, 2018 in Brussels.
