The BCECC had the privilege of hosting a delegation from Fengxian District on June 27. This thriving new city in the Yangtze River Delta is experiencing rapid growth in various sectors. With excellent transportation infrastructure connecting sea, land, and air, Fengxian District is emerging as a prominent comprehensive hub in South Shanghai.
Following opening remarks by BCECC Chairman Mr. Dewit, Mr. Deng Yonghui, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Belgium, and Mr. Yuan Quan, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Fengxian District Committee, delivered comprehensive speeches. Mr. Yuan Quan provided insights into the district’s technologies, accompanied by a promotional video showcasing the district’s beauty and technological advancements. Ms. Zhang Xian, Director of the Shanghai Fengxian District Investment Promotion Office, then delivered an extensive presentation on the district’s investment environment as well as its rapid growth in various sectors including biopharmaceuticals, technology, and beauty.
Furthermore, two distinguished guests shared their expertise. Mr. Dongqing Zhang, Cargo Development Manager of Liège Airport, highlighted the airport’s connections with Chinese airlines and logistics enterprises. Ms. Ursula Morjaria, Executive Director Clinical Affairs of Grand Medical Europe, shared her experiences with China and discussed her company’s activities.
The event concluded with a networking lunch, offering a platform for the guests to engage with the delegation.
