The BCECC had the honor of hosting its yearly China-Belgium Customs Event at the Port House in Antwerp with esteemed guests Isabelle Bedoyan, Customs Attaché for Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao of the Belgian General Administration of Customs and Excise, Gao Xiang, Minister Counsellor Customs of the Chinese Mission to the EU, and Chen Jianping, First Secretary of the Chinese Mission to the EU present.
Following a warm welcome by BCECC Chairman Bernard Dewit, each speaker delivered insightful speeches about their roles and experiences in the customs field, as well as the latest updates to customs regulations. Ms. Bedoyan elaborated on her responsibilities as a Customs attaché in China and her missions, while Gao Xiang shared his perspectives on the Chinese mission to the EU’s role in Belgium-China customs procedures and Chen Jianping provided a comprehensive presentation on China-EU customs and AEO.
After the presentations, the attendees had the valuable opportunity to engage in one-on-one meetings with the customs representatives to discuss their specific customs issues and enjoy some networking opportunities with the other participants.
