During the first China-related event after the merger of the ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge, the BCECC, BDO Belgium and Port of Antwerp-Bruges gave more than 60 participants an exclusive view into the Cruise Terminal of Zeebrugge and CSP Terminals.

The event opened with a speech by Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Cao Zhongming, who discussed the prospects of the Chinese economy and its place in the world economy, as well as the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Belgium and China. Afterwards, Vice President International Relations and Networks of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges gave an inspiring presentation on the how and why of the merger of the two ports and the challenges the port is facing in the future. His speech was followed by an informative presentation by BDO experts Luc Sambre and Bernard Moyson, who provided a thorough explanation of some of the latest supply chain disruptions, and how companies can deal with them.

We closed the event off with a networking lunch in the ABC Tower of the Cruise Terminal, and an impressive tour of CSP Terminals.
