The Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) organized a company visit to Materialise on 24 November 2022. The event aimed to give more insight into the exciting world of 3D printing and to provide a broader understanding of how Materialise plays a major role in this industry.
The event started off with an introductory presentation by Materialise, highlighting their 3 key activities: software, manufacturing and medical engineering. To offer participants a broader context, Kris Binon, Director of Flam3D shared his knowledge of the 3D market and how it is evolving. Christophe Kennis, Application Engineer at Materialise showed everyone how Materialise used their unparalleled 3D printing knowledge and expertise in personalized healthcare to become a market leader with a step by step explanation how ideas become products that can be implemented in many businesses.
The informative morning sessions were followed by a guided tour at the premises to get an exclusive view at some of Materialise’s key activities. The decades of experience and passion of the engineers showcasing their technologies and some finished products were clear to see. The event closed off with a lunch for some interesting networking possibilities.
