Before being appointed Head of the Mission in December 2022, Mr. Fu Cong has served as Deputy Permanent Representative, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary for the Disarmament Affairs of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva, and was later appointed Director-General of the Department of Arms Control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
