The BCECC organized an exclusive company visit to its member company Danis Group on 7 October 2024. This family-owned meat business, now in its third generation, integrates the entire pork processing chain—from pig genetics, pig feed to slaughter.
Our visit started at the Artificial Insemination (AI) Center, where Mr. Jan Vandaele, Manager of Pig Farmers, explained the process of gene selection to ensure high quality meat. We then proceeded to Danis Group headquarters, where Mr. Stefaan Lambrecht, CEO of Danis Group, welcomed us with an opening speech. Mr. Joris Coenen, Manager of the Belgian Meat Office, offered clear insights into Belgium’s role in pig production and export. The event concluded with presentations by Mr. Jan Vandaele and Mr. Harold Poelvoorde, Plant Manager of the Slaughterhouse, who offered an in-depth look at the Danis Group’s operations.
To cap off the day, attendees enjoyed a networking lunch featuring Danis Group products.
