Our mission:
The Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) is the largest bilateral chamber of commerce for companies engaged in business with or in China. We are a non-profit organization consisting of 500 members and are based in Brussels, the heart of Europe.
The Chamber has been established in the 1980s after China’s opening up, and its main goal is to advance the commercial, industrial, academic and cultural cooperation between Belgium and China. We aim to achieve this by enhancing information exchange, by organizing weekly seminars, webinars, networking events and company visits by developing contacts between Belgian/European and Chinese enterprises, and between Belgian, European and Chinese trade and economy related government official institutions.
Main Tasks:
- Supporting the BCECC team in the practical organization of weekly events/projects, e.g. webinars on a broad range of topics, in-person seminars, networking events, company visits, trade missions, hosting visiting Chinese delegations, etc.
- Handling the Chamber’s internal and external communications: e-mail campaigns, social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, Wechat, Xiaohongshu), preparatory documents for trade missions or meetings, etc.
- Maintaining a network of existing members/partner organizations and developing a new network among business representatives, officials, international organizations, academics, etc.
- Administrative work (invoicing, website management, CRM management, etc.
- Database management (updating information, event registration etc.)
The required qualifications are:
- Bachelor degree or above in Chinese studies, international relations, business communication, marketing or related fields
- Hands-on mentality and proactive problem solver
- A flexible and energetic team player
- Interest in administrative work
- Proficient knowledge of English, Dutch and/or French. Knowledge of Chinese would be an asset.
- Good writing skills in English
- Good interpersonal skills and interest in business in China
