The US’ Inflation Reduction Act: Decarbonization or competition with China?

14/02/2023
Online

The US just passed the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the most ambitious climate bill ever. Good news for climate activists, but won’t this create business opportunities and jobs in China rather than domestically? How does this fit into the broader competition between the US and China?

This can have an impact on European companies doing business with China and the US and on Chinese companies doing business with Europe and the US. What is this impact and are there solutions to overcome the difficulties created by the IRA?
