US-China relations continue to play an important role in the global business environment, with developments in trade, technology and economic policy also affecting businesses in Europe and beyond. President Xi Jinping’s visit to the United States on September 24 was closely followed internationally, particularly in light of ongoing discussions on trade and the broader direction of US-China relations.

On 22 October 2026 at 15:00 CET, the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) invites you to join our webinar on “The State of US-China Relations and the Impact on European Companies”, with Mr. Timothy Stratford, Senior Counsel at Covington & Burling.

Mr. Stratford previously served as Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for China Affairs, where he worked on U.S. trade policy towards China and bilateral trade and investment issues. Today, he advises international clients doing business in China and assists Chinese companies seeking to expand globally. He has also spent decades living and working in the Greater China region.

Join Mr. Stratford as he shares his perspective on the current state of US-China relations and recent developments shaping the relationship. The discussion will explore what the evolving US-China relationship may mean for European businesses and the broader economic environment in Europe.
