To explore the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), the world’s first and largest fair dedicated to trade in services, the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) organized an event titled “The China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS): Brussels Overseas Roadshow” on June 21, 2024.
The event started with an keynote speech by the Level II Bureau Rank Official of the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, Mr. Zhang Gang, to delivered an introduction of CIFTIS. Afterward, the Vice President of Bank of China Brussels Branch, Mr. Ye Sun, delivered a speech about how Bank of China’s Cross-border Finance helps CIFTIS in a wide range of internationalization development.
To gain more practical knowledge about the business investment environment in China and Belgium, attendees were treated to the speech by the Secretary-General of the China Chamber of Commerce to the EU, Mr. Fang Dongkui, to acknowledge the opportunities and challenges for Chinese enterprises going to Europe. Later on, Mr. Wim Decraene, the CEO of Agio Group analyzed the current trend of derisking and growing in China. Dr. Sara Medina, Member of the Board of SPI, EU-China cooperation in science, technology and innovation, gave a clear picture of EU-China cooperation in science, technology and innovation. The event concluded with the speech by the Managing Director of Horsten International, Mr. Bart Horsten, with a focus the high-level cooperation between China and EU companies in the field of supply chain and business services.
