Seminar: Climbing China’s great wall of worry: Investment risks& opportunities

As China’s stock market turmoil raises many questions among our members, we organized a seminar “Climbing China’s great wall of worry: Investment risks & opportunities” on Wednesday September 30, 2015 in Brussels.

Our guest speaker of the day was Mr. Stephan Desplancke, Director EMEA Retail Country Head Belgium of Blackrock, the world’s largest asset management corporation based in New York. This seminar took a deep dive into 4 key trends: credit growth, a shift towards a services economy, a property downturn and government stimulus. Mr. Desplancke also shared his views on investment on China’s currency, the domestic stock market & Hong Kong-listed Chinese equities and the country’s fast-growing debt market.

After the presentation by our guest speaker, participants had the chance to share their thoughts during a networking lunch.
