This summer, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), is going to hold a cultural exchange program (summer camp) called Playshop for Language and Cultural Exchange (PLACE). It is a 21-day summer immersion program starting from July 25 to August 14 and designed for both international and Chinese college students who are eager to immerse themselves in the diverse cultural tapestry and vibrant energy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. There are plenty of full scholarships for overseas students as well, which can cover tuition fees, dorm fees and returned flight tickets.
Programme highlights
- Assorted modules offering a wide range of activities for learning and experiencing culture, language, sports, and science.
- Breathtaking guided cultural tours across the Greater Bay Area, including captivating destinations like Hong Kong and Bruce Lee’s ancestral home in Guangzhou.
- Collaborative learning through engaging hands-on activities and team projects, fostering cooperation and creativity.
- Dynamic language and cultural exchange environment, where international and domestic students learn and share different perspectives.
- Outstanding applicants may be awarded generous scholarships that could cover some or all of the expenses (tuition fee, accommodation and meals, return airfare, visa, insurance, etc.)
