International Conference – EU-China 2020 Strategic Agenda for Cooperation [Members Only]

13/05/2019
Brussels

In 2013, Brussels and Beijing launched the EU-China 2020 Strategic Agenda for Cooperation, an ambitious goal-setting document covering a wide range of initiatives in the fields of ‘peace and security’, ‘prosperity’, ‘sustainable development’, and ‘people-to-people exchanges’.

As the 2020 deadline approaches, hurdles and tensions remaining in both bilateral ties and at global level certainly complicate the achievement of many of the goals set in the Agenda. Nevertheless, the EU and China still could be facing an unprecedented opportunity to step up their cooperation
