European Business in China Position Paper 2025/2026: Implications for EU companies in China

On September 17, 2025, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China released its annual European Business in China Position Paper 2025/2026, calling on Chinese policymakers to use the upcoming 15th Five-year Plan (2026–2030) to drive a shift towards a more innovative, productive, and sustainable development model. Drawing on insights from over 1,700 member companies and 35 working groups, the Position Paper offers more than 1,100 constructive recommendations to improve China’s business environment.
