On December 12, 2017 the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce organized an interesting and inspiring company visit to Biobest in Westerlo.
Biobest was the first company ever to commercially supply bumblebees in 1987. Their bumblebees help farmers all over the world in biological pollination. As of 2014 Biobest started a local production facility in China, and is now supplying bumblebees to local Chinese tomato, strawberry and blueberry growers helping them to grow a safer, more productive crop. Furthermore Biobest also produces beneficial insects and mites for biological and integrated crop protection offering an alternative to chemical insecticides
