On 8 July 2024, a delegation of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) visited Belgium and had a fruitful meeting with the BCECC at the premises of CCPIT.

CIETAC is one of the major permanent arbitration institutions in the world. It independently and impartially resolves commercial disputes, as well as investment disputes by means of arbitration. During the meeting, both sides focused on how to assist Belgian and Chinese companies in this framework under the current international policy environment. Through signing a cooperation agreement, the two sides committed to promoting information sharing and legal exchanges, enhancing companies’ understanding of arbitration, and promoting economic and trade cooperation.
