China’s 15th Five-Year Plan – Economic Outlook & Employment Trends

18/11/2025
Online

As China moves from the 14th to the 15th Five-year Plan (2026–2030), the country enters a crucial stage in its modernization. The new Plan is set to drive innovation, technological upgrading, and greener growth, while demographic shifts and new productive forces reshape the labour market, creating emerging professions and transforming employment trends.

Dr. Xuxin Mao, Head of Research at the Bank of China (London) and former Principal Economist at the UK’s National Institute of Economic and Social Research, will share his insights. With nearly 20 years of expertise in macroeconomics, econometrics, AI, and Big Data, he will address key questions:

  • Which policy measures may be introduced before year-end to prepare the 15th Plan?
  • What challenges and opportunities will shape 2026–2030?
  • What employment trends will define the next five years?
