Cathay Pacific is back, flying four times per week direct from Brussels to Hong Kong

07/10/2025

In August 2025, Cathay Pacific – one of the world’s top three airlines – has relaunched their direct service between Brussels and Hong Kong, flying four weekly direct flights.

A World Class Travel Experience

The service is operated by the latest A350-900 aircraft that includes a three-cabin configuration of fully flat beds in Business, spacious seats in Premium Economy and extended comfort in Cathay’s award-winning Economy.

With Cathay Pacific’s unique dining partnerships with Michelin-starred restaurants including Duddell’s, Yat Tung Heen, and Louise, customers experience an exceptional dining experience from Hong Kong and beyond inflight. In Business Class flights to the Chinese mainland, passengers can explore China’s culinary heritage through monthly dishes from China’s Eight Great Cuisines paired with traditional Chinese teas or wines.

Customers in all cabins can experience the world’s best inflight entertainment and connect to high-speed inflight Wi-Fi. Customers travelling in Business class as well as Cathay Diamond members enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi access when flying with Cathay Pacific.

Seamless Connections from Hong Kong to the Greater Bay Area (GBA)

This route strengthens connectivity for Belgian-based businesses and travellers to Hong Kong and beyond. With Hong Kong serving as the key gateway for access to the GBA, the megalopolis of nine cities across Southern China, customers can also enjoy Cathay’s seamless connections to other major cities within the GBA through direct air-to-sea and air-to-land intermodal services via the SkyPier Terminal at Hong Kong International Airport, including via a visit to Cathay’s first ferry port lounge in Shekhou Cruise Home Port.

Cathay’s 20+ Destinations in the Chinese Mainland

The Cathay Group has also further expanded its network, operating more than 330 return flights per week between the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong. Alongside multiple daily flights into major cities including Beijing – with its brand new Cathay lounge – Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xiamen and more, Cathay Pacific this year has added flights between Hong Kong and Changsha, and Hong Kong and Urumqi. With HK Express having this year launched flights to Changzhou, Yiwu and Guiyang, this brings Cathay’s overall Chinese Mainland network to 24 destinations.

Cathay Cargo

Cathay Pacific’s passenger services also provide belly capacity for cargo customers, complementing Cathay Cargo’s seven freighter flights per week to and from Europe. Cathay Cargo is also pleased to reactivate the ‘pharma corridor’ for specialist pharmaceutical shipments between Hong Kong International Airport and Brussels Airport, a dedicated pharma lane guaranteeing CEIV-certified handling at every stage of the pharmaceutical shipments between the two airports.
