The Department of Commerce of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region organized its hybrid event “Opportunities in Inner Mongolia for foreign companies” together with the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) on 21 September 2022. The event aimed to build a platform for multidimensional cooperation, and to fully display the advantages of the Inner Mongolian region for European companies, as demonstrated by the Ordos, Hohhot & Baotou Municipal Bureaus of Commerce. It was attended physically and virtually by over 60 representatives from different companies, regional representatives and business associations, among which the China Spain Business Association (CSBA).

The different Bureaus of Commerce promoted the infrastructure facilities, development prospects and preferential policies of their cities and signed contracts with enterprises from Germany, Spain and Belgium on energy, olive oil import & export and potato plantation technologies. For Belgium, an MOU was signed between the Inner Mongolia Import and Export Enterprise Association and CARAH, the Center for Agriculture and Agri-Food Industry of Hainaut Province, a non-profit organization providing all kinds of agricultural services to operators of the agricultural, food and environment sectors.
