The Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) and Bank of China hosted a high-level delegation from Hainan Province on Friday 15 March 2024 at the beautiful Amigo Hotel in the center of Brussels.

Following up on the official visit of Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hadja Lahbib, the delegation met with some well-known Belgian meat and chocolate companies among which some were present during the January visit.

Hainan province is quickly growing into a booming international tourism and consumption center, which was showcased by presentations of the Vice Governor of the Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce and the Deputy Director General of the Hainan Economic Development Bureau on the key industries in Hainan Free Trade Port and its investment opportunities. Following on their presentations, chocolate company Pierre Marcolini, PB Leiner and Sus Campiniae discussed their brands and their company’s activities in China.

After an informative morning, the companies and Chinese delegation members continued their discussions during a delicious Italian lunch.
