Following the recent visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Europe, Bernard Dewit, Chairman of the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC), was invited to share his views on CGTN’s Le Journal. In the interview, Mr. Dewit expressed optimism about the deepening ties between China and the European Union, particularly in light of their 50 years of diplomatic relations.
He emphasized that economic cooperation between Chinese and European companies is already well underway and continues to evolve in key sectors such as green energy and artificial intelligence. Beyond economic matters, Mr. Dewit underscored the value of strengthening collaboration in cultural and educational exchanges. These areas, he noted, not only promote economic opportunities and but also provide the materials to build mutual understanding and long-term geopolitical stability.
