On June 11, 2025, the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) and the Europe China Joint Innovation Center (EUCJIC) co-hosted a high-level joint conference at the Tangla Hotel in Brussels. The event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and academic researchers to explore the vast investment opportunities offered by a vibrant district in Beijing — Changping, which is emerging to be the “Energy Valley” and “Life Science Valley” of China.
As a powerhouse of innovation and technology, Changping has become a magnet for cutting-edge industries such as advanced energy, biopharmaceuticals, healthcare, and intelligent manufacturing. During the event, representatives from EUCJIC and the Deputy Mayor of Changping District and the Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Beijing Future Science City and Zhongguancun Life Science Park have also provided their knowledge into the region’s geographical advantages, natural resources, educational potentials and supportive policies, to give European investors a clear sense of why this vibrant district is attractive for foreign entrepreneurs.
