On December 2, 2025, the Belgium-China Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) hosted a Belgium-China Business Insights Networking Lunch at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges.
The event gathered participants in Antwerp, one of Europe’s most strategically important trade hubs, to explore the evolving landscape of Belgium-China economic cooperation. We were honored to welcome Mr. Suo Peng, Minister at the Chinese Mission to the European Union, and Mr. Johan Klaps, President of the Board of Port of Antwerp-Bruges and Vice-Mayor of the City of Antwerp for the Port and Economy, as our distinguished speakers.
With his extensive background at the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM) and his broad diplomatic experience, Mr. Suo Peng offered insightful observations on China’s current economic priorities and international engagement. Mr. Johan Klaps emphasized the Port of Antwerp-Bruges’ pivotal role in global logistics and outlined the growing avenues for cooperation with China across various sectors.
The networking lunch served as a valuable platform for participants to exchange views, discover new business opportunities, and connect with peers and stakeholders from across the Belgium-China business community.
