From August 31 to September 7, 2025, Team Belgium will proudly take part in the 17th World Wushu Championships at the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center in Brasília, Brazil. This prestigious event brings together the world’s best athletes in both Taolu (choreographed routines) and Sanda (full-contact combat), and marks an important milestone as Wushu continues its rise toward global recognition and its debut at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
Our Belgian athletes, all national medalists with international experience, are ready to showcase their dedication, discipline, and excellence on the world stage. With representatives from both Flanders and Wallonie, Team Belgium reflects unity and passion as they compete against the strongest in the sport.
Because Wushu in Belgium is still a non-professional sport, participating in such a major international event requires significant resources for travel, accommodation, training, and equipment. That’s why support from sponsors and partners is essential. By standing with Team Belgium today, companies and organizations not only help our athletes seize this unique opportunity but also gain visibility as the sport continues its Olympic journey.
