The Expo ‘From Peking to Hankow: A Belgian adventure in China’ will be organized in Train World from 7 May 2021 to 10 October 2021. The expo and the corresponding book will discuss the plans of Belgium and France to build the biggest railway of its time in the beginning of the 20th century. The railway was developed by a Belgian engineer, Jean Jadot to connect the North and South of China, from Beijing to Hankow (Wuhan) and tens of thousands of people worked on it for 7 years. The expo will show the immense efforts that got into building the railway, and how the current Chinese railway system is still based on this one.
