Founded and supported by sinologists Iege Vanwalle & Katrien Coupez in 2019, Made in China vzw promotes Chinese contemporary culture to the inhabitants of Ghent, the Flemish, Walloons and the Chinese inhabitants of Belgium. The organization uses film, art, literature, and more to provide unbiased insights into different perspectives of China, with the goal of fostering mutual understanding and enrichment.

Starting with an exhibition with a selection of Chinese comic art on the March 2, 2023 at 14:00 CET to a presentation & discussion of Chinese contemporary poetry on the March 28, 2023 at 20:00 CET, the festival promises to be a thrilling showcase of China’s vibrancy and diversity. Whether you’re a curious cultural explorer or simply looking for an exciting day out, the Made in China Festival is sure to captivate and inspire you.
