International Conference: “The EU, China and SDGs: A likely alliance?”

News

The EU and China are major global economies and key actors in international trade and investment flows. They are also key actors in the field of climate change and energy sustainability. In both the EU and China, sustainability has entered the mainstream of government policymaking and issues related to sustainability are at the centre of the negotiations of the Comprehensive Agreement of Investment and of the Partnership on Climate Change between the EU and China. Moreover, sustainability is not just a policy issue, but it has increasingly become a key concrete business question for companies.

The College of Europe, amfori, the European Economic and Social Committee, the China Chamber of International Commerce – EU Representative Office, and the Taihe Institute are jointly organising an international conference focused on the question of sustainability in trade and investment, as well as in climate change and energy cooperation. Please see the programme here.
