“More than mere beauty: Belgium through the lens of a Chinese journalist” has been created by Chinese journalist Mingdeng Yi (former Beijing Daily`s chief correspondent in Belgium from 2012 to 2017), and is the first bilingual large-scale photo book about Belgium in China. It aims to promote Belgium’s positive image in China and acquaint Chinese people with prominent Belgian products, companies and industries. Supported by the Belgian Embassy, it will be gifted to VIPs during official events of the Embassy, distributed as a hardcover book and e-book on huge Chinese platforms such as JD.com, Dangdang.com and Tmall, and promoted by influential media in China such as People’s Daily, Xinhuanet, etc.
