Chocolate remains one of the most exported F&B products to China, representing 15% of the the total exports and ranking 3rd, right behind beverages and dairy. Couting hundreds of chocolatiers and thousands of chocolate stores, Belgium is undoubtadly the place to be for chocolate lovers.

One of these numerous chocolatiers, and probably the most well-known is Neuhaus, who started the Belgian chocolate tradition with the invention of the Belgian praline.

On December 5, 2019, the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) organized a Company Visit to Neuhaus. The participants had the opportunity to learn about the fabrication of pralines and to develop their palate by tasting a few during and after the visit of the factory. They also learned about the creation and evolution of Neuhaus and its Chinese market during the inspiring speech of Mr. Philip Geeraert.
