Following the Princely Mission to China in November, the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) extended its business trip by accompanying the delegation of Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) to Hong Kong SAR and has had the honor to meet with Mr. Paul Chan, Financial Secretary and Mr. Edward Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong SAR.
During these two private meetings, Mr. Bernard Dewit, Chairman of the BCECC, discussed about the cooperation between Belgium and Hong Kong SAR, and inquired if Hong Kong SAR is still interesting for European companies in their plans of entering the Chinese market.
Moreover, the political future of Hong Kong SAR was discussed deeply in order to reassure foreign companies that are passing through Hong Kong SAR as a gateway for doing business in China and Asia.
