Networking Lunch with Mr. Jo Leinen on March 21, 2017

The Brexit vote and the US presidential election have created an unexplored diplomatic path for the European Union and China. In these times, it is important for them to defend free and fair trade, in order to contribute to greater economic integration between both economic partners. However, China still represents a challenge for the EU and its market and rapid development also offer huge opportunities for the expansion of trade and investments and the strengthening of relations.

The BCECC is delighted to invite you to a Networking Lunch with Mr. Jo Leinen, Member of the European Parliament and Chairman of the Delegation for the relations with China, on Tuesday March 21, 2017, in Brussels. Mr. Leinen will discuss the European Parliament’s China agenda as well as the opportunities and challenges of the cooperation between the EU and China. Jo Leinen has been a Member of the European Parliament since 1999. From 2004 to 2009 he was President of the Constitutional Affairs Committee and from 2009 to 2011 he chaired the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety. Mr. Leinen has been the Chairman of the Delegation for China since 2014.
